  • Paella Burner or Stovetop Paella is generally cooked over an open flame or on a specialist paella burner, which produces even and consistent heat.
  • Long-Handled Wooden Spoon

  • 2 cups Spanish short-grain rice (such as Bomba or Calasparra)
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 pinch Saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 Yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes canned or fresh
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 1/2 pound Chicken thighs, boneless and skinless cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound Large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound Mussels cleaned and debearded
  • 1/2 pound Clams cleaned

  • Salt and pepper to taste
